2021 Annual Meeting Learning Objectives

  1. Recognize the signs and symptoms of rhabdomyolysis and develop an appropriate plan of care.
  2. Identify the therapeutic benefits of implementing complementary practices and treatments, such as dry needling, blood flow restriction therapy, positional release therapy, and foot strengthening exercises, to our patient population.
  3. Identify the impact social determinants of health and socioeconomic status has on the health outcomes and how to implement strategies for positive health care in our patient populations.
  4. Recognize the effects the CoVID-19 pandemic has on the health of student-athletes and utilize the current data to advocate for practices to improve the short and long-term health of our patients.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy: If a preregistrant cannot attend the symposium for any reason, they may notify the WATA in advance by sending an email to [email protected] and will receive a full refund if notification is on or before April 1st, 2021. After April 1st, 2021 refunds will be made minus a $25.00 fee. No refunds will be issued after April 5th, 2021.

WATA is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers.

No individuals should be denied participation in CE programs offered by the WATA on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or age.
