Dan has received the WATA Athletic Training Distinguished Service Award in 2003 and the NATA Athletic Training Service Award in 2004. The committee first met in August 2001 with five WATA members and grew to a participation of 18, including a physician. The WATA Reimbursement Committee became the largest state sponsored committee of its kind. Each professional setting was represented on the committee from all regions of Wisconsin. A large part of the committee success was consistent dissemination of information through multiple outlets, including town hall meetings, national workshops, newsletters, guest speaking opportunities at medical conferences and publications.

Dan is active in the community and throughout his years, has been involved in organizations such as Jaycees, Kiwanis, United Way Board, and American Legion Badger Boys State. He has received numerous awards of recognition for his leadership and service. Dan is blessed and grateful for his loving wife Jody and their two children Andrew and Natalie. Without their love, enthusiasm, and support Dan could not succeed.
