WATA Research Committee
Call for Research Grant Applications
The WATA Research Committee is now accepting applications for grant funds for supporting athletic training related research. Submit your application by Saturday, November 15!
Who is Eligible?
- A Certified Athletic Trainer and WATA member must be a critical member of the research team, but does not have to be the Primary Investigator.
- Students in a CAATE accredited professional AT program are welcome to apply. Students must be a WATA member and be able to complete the study prior to graduation, in order to apply. For student research, a Certified Athletic Trainer (who is a WATA member) must serve as a mentor or advisor.
Amount Awarded:
- A study with the Certified Athletic Trainer serving as the primary investigator may receive up to $1000.
- A study with the professional AT student serving as the primary investigator may receive up to $500.
Expectations:
- Oral presentation at the future WATA Annual Meeting (in April)
